Overview

This is a solution which use for remotely turning on or off the power stations keys. After studying and researching various technologies that could be used for data transmission in their SCADA telemetry network, it was decided that 4G Industrial Cellular Routers were the most appropriate and capable to provide the optimal solution whilst keeping the solution cost within the project budget.

Challenge

The customer looks for a cost effective 3G / 4G Cellular Solution which need to have one Ethernet port, port mapping and various VPN technologies like IPSEC / OpenVPN etc.

Key needs for Power Station:

• Robust Design: Work stable in harsh environment with strong humidity, high / low working temperature range. 

• More Function: Transparent mode, Port Mapping, IPSEC, OpenVPN.

• Better Service: Provide reliable and secure data transmission in order to be monitor remote RTU in real time. 

Solution

Among the wide applications of these 4G modems in the electricity distribution network of the country is to communicate dispatching centers with the control panels of the Sectionalizers keys of the electrical substations. The communication of these centers is done through private APN services and encrypted using VPN, so that it can be used to manage and connect and disconnect these keys remotely.
