Overview

Intelligent remote monitoring of the reservoir water level is quite important for comprehensive water resource management by local government. They need to keep tracking water usage data for planning and operations, maintaining adequate water supplies during normal and emergency situations, and avoid the flood disaster destroy local farmland and living conditions. So intelligent reservoir level monitoring systems in the remote area are highly required.

Challenge

The customer needs to operate a wide range of remote monitoring systems for use in reservoir water applications. The systems typically consist of a water level logger which records water level (depth) and temperature. Water level is typically recorded via an integral hydrostatic level sensor.

• Robust Design: Work stable in harsh environment with strong humidity, high / low working temperature range. 

• Less Cost: Avoid high cost of wired-based console networking solutions, such as ADSL and fiber optics, and offer more flexible wireless network

Solution

NavigateWorx offered very cost-effective Solution for the project application with completely industrial advantage. All the recording telemetry units (RTU) are connected to NavigateWorx router via serial port and collected data from end water level sensors. Then all the data goes through our router to monitoring center via cellular technologies. Furthermore, if sensors decocted abnormal data, they will trigger alarm and send out SMS to remote engineers. The whole system was power up by Solar System and its wide range of power input makes it easier for the deployment and the SI is happy with its performance and getting our router standardize for all their systems.
