NR500 Router In Mining Industry

Background

Mining Industry is developing rapidly and most of the mining areas are in critically harsh environment. So in order to avoid as more accidents as possible, building up a reliable and trustable remote monitoring system is necessary according to relative Mining Authorities. So let us explore how NavigateWorx helps within this harsh Mining Industry.

“Inside this Mining Industry, the difficulty we have with cellular routers at our client sites is the interface between the cellular service and the site office network. One solution is to use a third-party service provider. Another solution is to use tunnel hardware, but this is not easy at remote instrument station because most hardware is mains-powered. If you have an end-to-end solution we would find that very interesting.” Said CTO Mr. Kevin Shackleton

Project Technical Highlights

NR500 Router connected to the Internet
- A Weather Station Connected to it by LAN
- A Switches connected on the DI
- A LED on the DO (The LED has an in-built resistor for use at 12 VDC, it draws about 5 mA at 12 VDC)
The PC is using DHCP, has IP address 192.168.5.2 and can connect to the internet. The weather station has the static address 192.168.5.11 as well. Then set up a secure connection so engineer can see the weather station from office network.
