They are taking up the challenges to build Electricity Plants in remote areas and install lots of the advanced machines such as Switchgear/RTU control panels to meet the user's electricity needs.

Challenge

The customer looks for the Industrial Grade Cellular Router, which needs to transfer the data from Alstom RTU to Control SCADA System and the router needs to support implementing IEC101-IEC104, DNP3 and Modbus protocols.

Key needs for Substation Automation System:

• Robust Design: Work stable in harsh environment with strong humidity, high / low working temperature range. 

• More Function: IEC101-IEC104, DNP3, Modbus.

• Better Service: Provide reliable and secure data transmission in order to be monitor remote RTU in real time.

Solution

NavigateWorx offered very cost-effective 3G / 4G Solution for the project application with completely industrial advantage, specially NR500 can work stably at high temperatures environment when installed in outdoor's recloser and sectionalizes. All of RTUs are connected to NavigateWorx NR500 via Ethernet Port or Serial Port and collected data from RTUs to Control SCADA System, then all the data goes through our NR500 to Control Monitoring Center via cellular technologies.

The NR500 provides reliable low latency communications between machines and the center. Multiple interfaces failover and Dual SIMs capabilities for redundancy between cabled landline and mobile operator or between different 4G mobile data carriers.
